Cottage was in a good location with views of the quay from some windows. All was clean & tidy, the kitchen was well equipped and the furniture/bed was comfortable. Disappointed that there was no welcome pack: Only a few tea-bags, a little filter coffee and a few sachets of sauce at the cottage so ensure that you bring basic groceries with you. Also no fuel, matches or firefighters for the wood burner. We expected to replace any logs we used, but would have expected some to be there. The cottage info pack was quite out of date, referring to a TV channel upgrade due 2011 as a future event. Overall a good base which a just few extra touches could be improved to great.

Very enjoyable stay. I love Wells, so a little cottage there is just what you need. A bit close to the Quay side, so during high tide, it's a bit nerve wracking! Nice and warm and inviting inside. Only gripe is the double bed frame really squeaks when you roll over or shift position, so had interrupted sleep all week...😣

Great location. Wells is a must for any one wanting a quiet and peaceful break. The cottage is in the ideal location. We will return, no doubt about it.

Lovely little cottage in an excellent location. Just a couple of things that need attention. As soon as we opened the front door there was a very unpleasant smell, like stale wet cloths. It seemed to be coming from below the sink although we couldn't find the cause. It was so bad we had to buy a plug in air freshener. Also, there was only approx. 6 sheets of kitchen roll left on the dispenser, no j-cloth for washing up/wiping surfaces, although we did find one unused sponge in the sink unit. There was no bin liner in the bathroom bin and approx. 1 cm of handwash left in the bottle. Again we had to go out and buy these products which we expected to be provided. Having said that the cottage was warm, cosy and we had a very enjoyable stay. The housekeeping just needs some attention.

It was really lovely so clean and homely. Just one problem the parking was poor.

We really enjoyed our stay. Elements of the cottage are a bit quirky but our only real niggle was the lack of basic store cupboard ingredients for cooking at home. You could only cook there if you took everything with you whereas most of our cottage bookings in recent years have been reasonably well provided for, probably by what previous guests have left. Maybe that's just us though!

Lovely location, perfect for our summer break with our dog. Located right on the quay in walking distance (5 mins) of shops and cafes. Lovely open kitchen/lounge with a cosy feel. Lots of kitchen utensils and cooking facilities. The lane which is identified to park in (Jolly Sailor Yard) was very tight and usually parked up, so we parked on Northfield Lane and walked back up Jolly Sailor Yard towards East Quay. We felt the bed and sofa were not the comfiest but after a few miles walking, too tired to be overly bothered. Unfortunately, the cottage welcome manual goes back to 2011 and hasn’t been updated. There was a small frontage to the property which seemed to have been left to die off. Nowhere to sit outside the cottage. These are all small things but all add to the feel of the stay, especially considering the price charged
