In spite of wet weather we had a very enjoyable week in Tuppence Cottage. The log fire was well used and easy to light! The accommodation was spacious , nicely furnished and equipped and having two bathrooms plus a downstairs loo was a bonus. Being in the village was convenient for shopping and eating out , with everything being within walking distance.

Lovely, comfortable cottage. In the centre of a village that has good pubs and shops. No off street parking but that didn’t seem to matter- although we weren’t there in the summer season. Owners left goodies and helpful instructions for local walking. We had a lovely few days away.

Tuppence Cottage was an ideal place to stay for visiting the Exmoor area. It was furnished and decorated to a high standard with good quality kitchen equipment. The large open plan lower floor was a great family space with very good furnishings. On the upper floor were two spacious and comfortable bedrooms with two bathrooms. The enclosed garden is a few steps away along a passage from the back door and, although overlooked by adjacent properties, proved to be a great sun trap with picnic table, benches and sun umbrella. There is no designated parking and although we found no problem finding on-street parking, it might be that this could be a disadvantage (the only one that we could see!). It is obvious that the owners have thought of the needs of their guests and provided all that could be expected, even the welcome basket and doggy towels.
