It was a delight to stay here. The new tv was an added bonus. We stayed at the very beginning of the month of Jan 19 it may have been freezing out side but very cosy inside. For us it was certainly value for money. There was plenty to do for us with our dog. In summer this cottage with its garden and views would be stunning.

A lovely little cottage that is cosy & well equipped. The owners are extremely helpful & really cant do enough fir you. It has a real homely feel to it and the little fairy doors, Narnia and Harry Potter references around the cottage are lovely. However, the cottage really is in the middle of nowhere. The nearest local shop & pub is nearly 3 miles away. The pub at the bottom of the hill near to the cottage is closed at the moment for no apparent reason.

Tulip Cottage was warm, cosy and well equipped. Environment was peaceful. The views were good (weather dependent). Found it a good base to explore Weardale, Yorkshire, Cumberland and Northumberland! We would stay here again!

We went as two couples and our dog. The things we had planned to do never happened as the cottage was in such a lovely area we walked from the cottage and chilled out.
