A wonderful cottage with friendly, welcoming hosts (lovely cake on arrival). Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Our daughter loved watching and saying hello to the farm animals. Great location too - near to Sherborne and close to dozens of great days out.

Owner was lovely, cottage was full of character. Beds, blankets, towels and curtains all worn out and faded. House wasn't that clean and tidy for us. Outside surroundings have farm debris everywhere.

Great secluded location but could do with better signposting, and walk in shower not a shower in a bath. Also some comfortable outside seating would be nice as it is a fab garden

The owners were very friendly. We were though very disappointed with our holiday cottage. On arrival, we found the farmyard in complete disarray (not nice to look at). Going in to the cottage, it was dark, cold and smelt. It was clean but an old person's cleanliness. The furnishings (furniture, bedding, towels, etc.) looked as if they had been bought in the 1990s). The armchairs and beds were very comfortable though, and there was plenty of hot water. It was equipped adequately but we felt we had to wash everything before using. To sum up, it wasn't a cottage that we liked to return to, and did leave a day early (although in fairness, the Royal Wedding, FA Cup and the M25 was a deciding factor). The farm was very hard to locate. The sat-nav stopped short and it eventually took us 45 minutes before we could find our destination.
