A very comfortable cottage with the facilities & welcome being over & above what I expected. The 'niceties' including home comforts were appreciated. Janet, the owner, welcomed us on arrival and said she was available if we needed assistance during our holiday - but we didn't. A really pleasant holiday, in a lovely peaceful setting and even the weather was superb. The only thing that frustrated us was all the traffic congestion due to road closures / road works - I think all councils think there should be less traffic due to school holidays - but not in a holiday area!!

Booked the cottage late, but what a gem. Great location on the border of Somerset and Dorset, and not too far from Devon. Cottage was clean, had lots of equipment and was spacious bearing in mind it was for four people (2 adults and 2 children, 17 & 11). The owner was very nice, and gave us some good tips for touring the countryside, which we did, visiting Bath, Weymouth, Sidmouth, Sherborne, Glastonbury and other towns. There is only a small courtyard (all paved) but that was not an issue for us - was a good sun trap morning and evening. The weather was fab for the two weeks, which made the holiday great. Local Farmshop just down the lane to get any urgent supplies but plenty of supermarkets close by - Waitrose and Lidl in Crewkerne (4 miles) with Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrison’s in Yeovil (7 miles). Would stay again, as the cottage was very comfortable, with all the amenities (and more) you would need.

Cottage was exactly as described, clean comfortable and well equipped. This is the first holiday cottage I have been to where the non stick pans are just that. Mr & Mrs Powell were most helpful especially when there was a water main burst and our water was reduced to a trickle. Lovely small farm shop and plant nursery next door. Handy for milk, eggs, papers, lovely cheese and other goodies. Mobile signal was intermittent but that is an issue with the area not the cottage. WiFi was fine in the utility room and kitchen. Lots to do and see within easy driving distance, Portland Bill only 40 miles away. A fine and eclectic selection of books to read, this would be a lovely winter rental - wood burner alight and books to read! I would love to stay here again.

We had a great holiday in this barn conversion. Well equipped, wifi better than expected- children could watch a film on laptop. Clean, comfortable, warm and very peaceful. Lovely walks from the doorstep. We visited Bath and the Haynes Motor Musuem, both well worth a visit; not forgetting Lyme Regis and Charmouth. Thank you to the kind owners who left us: biscuits, milk and eggs. A TV in the bedroom might add a nice touch, but not a problem for us.

This cottage is lovely, it is in a beautiful location. It is quite and in the middle of no where but that is what we wanted. Even though it is in the middle of no where, it is very ideally located to Yeovil and Crewkerne. These places are easy to find your way around to the amenities that we required. The location for a family was brilliant, Longleat 1hour away, coast less than an 1 hour away and Chedder Gorge and Wooky hole only an 1 hour away too. The cottage is wonderful for a family, our children our 7 and 3. It has plenty of space and is VERY well equipped in the kitchen. It really was like home from home. The owners were very helpful, and provided a lot of stuff to help for children to like cot, high chair and stairgate. We didn't use them but they were prepared to get it all ready for us. They also have been very kind in leaving books, a few games and a lovely welcome package. Everything was easy to use and well explained, the key safe made it easy to arrive and the owners very kindly turned the heating on for our arrival. So overall we had an awesome holiday and this was partly due to having a lovely, cosy and comfortable cottage to stay in. Highly recommend. Thank you
