Very rural, there are lots of places to walk, and setting the scene, the River Tamar is 500 yards away. The historic town of Launceston is only 6 miles, packed with historic sights to see and beautiful walks around the town. Fantastic for exploring the magnificent North Cornwall coastline or rolling hills and green meadows of Devon, you are surrounded by endless beauty in each and every direction.
The beaches along the coastline are some of the most outstanding in the county, including the majestic Widemouth Bay, with it’s breath-taking rock formations and expanses of golden sand, rock pools and far reaching views. The exquisite coastal village of Crackington Haven, flanked by cliffs and residing within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a must visit, as is the popular seaside town of Bude, renowned for its surfing, enjoyed on the waves rolling in from the vast North Atlantic Ocean.
To the south-west lies Port Isaac, of ’Doc Martin’ fame, and Boscastle, a picturesque village with quaint cottages and pretty riverside setting. Tintagel, forever linked to the legend of King Arthur, heralds a mystical past alongside a feat of modern engineering – the incredible footbridge spanning a dramatic chasm to the sea below! Inland and shrouded in ancient history explore Bodmin Moor, with its wonderful tors, and Dartmoor National Park, with its wild ponies and spectacular scenery.
