Although the cottage is very nice it does need a little updating (very old fashioned decor). The nearest shop is in the village which although only a mile away it is down a very steep hill so if you walk the trip back would be very tiring so we had to drive into Helston (a good 20 minutes away by car) for shopping, takeaways (too far for delivery), eating out, pubs and shops. We booked the cottage for 4 people but there was only one very small table and three chairs for sitting/eating outside, having said that our two dogs loved the large enclosed garden. The welcome pack was poor compared to other holiday cottages we have been to in Cornwall

The floor from the kitchen, through the hall to the front door was perfect (Vinyl) so easy to clean. We had to clean all utensils and cutlery before using as it was dirty. A light by the door would be useful as without one you struggle top find the key lock in the dark. Great to have a washer and dryer. Garden was great however, I did have to clean up some dog mess before letting our dogs into the garden. We had a great stay but The Old Dairy does need updating throughout. Parking was tight but manageable. Rooms a great size but disappointing living room size.
