A lovely cottage we had no heating when we arrived but this was resolved within 1 1/2 hours of arriving fabulous service we would definately recommend this cottage to family and friends

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We're sorry that the heating was off when you arrived but are glad we managed to sort it out quickly. We hope that you enjoyed that bottle of wine whilst you waited for the engineer to sort the boiler out.

This is the third time we have stayed at "Trevose". That, in itself, speaks volumes. This time we had our son, daughter-in-law and grandson (6 months) as well. "Trevose" is a lovely base for a short break. It is in a great location which is good for visiting much of Cornwall. The accomodation is clean and has virtually everything you could want. We will be back again, I am sure!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your very positive comments. We hope you come back and enjoy it as much as you have on previous occasions.

On arrival the house had an overwhelming smell of damp. The bedding, sofa and towels were very damp. Had to dry the towels before using them. On Tuesday found extremely wet and sour smelling mop. This in part was responsible for the bad smell. But even after a week of airing the house, the damp smell still was overpowering. Everytime I was in the house I began having coughing bouts. We spent as much time as possible outside and away from the house. This spoilt our holiday to a great extent. We still love Charlestown.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments, we are sorry that the cottage was such a disappointment for you. Since your visit we have had a leak in the roof repaired and will be redecorating as necessary in November, when we visit next. We hope this will resolve damp issues. We have passed your comments about the smelly mop and damp towels, etc. on to our caretaker and hope that too will now be resolved. Any guests who experience problems with Trevose on arrival or during their stay should feel free to contact our caretaker. We understand that you did not get in touch with her to raise these issues.

The cottage is on main road which is just a short walk from Rashleigh Arms Pub, the a short walk into the harbour area and the 4 other pubs restaurants. Charlies coffee house on right hand side of road as you walk towards harbour. Parking space off road with small yard with washing line at rear. Overall nice cottage in good location.

Great cottage it was comfortable and well equipped. The location really makes it. Charlestown is lovely and has plenty of places to eat in an evening, shops are close by and it's easy to get out and about to tour the area.
