Just 4 miles from the busy port and town of Falmouth, 2 miles from the beautiful village of Mawnan Smith and just under 20 minutes’ drive from the city of Truro, it is an ideal base to explore the local area. With some of the UK’s best beaches, water sports galore, a harbour and a thriving restaurant scene, the Falmouth area is one of the UK’s most sought-after holiday destinations.
Just beyond Mawnan Smith is the Helford Passage and river, a wonderful spot to have lunch in the Ferryboat Inn gazing at the estuary. There are several boat trips to enjoy as well as the oldest running ferry service in the UK to cross the river for a walk around the picture postcard village of Helford.
Falmouth itself boasts a prestigious marina and harbour, attracting visitors all year round with a busy calendar of events including prestigious sailing events, food and music festivals. Events Square is home to a large selection of restaurants, bars, and cafés, a stone’s throw from the National Maritime Museum. For those wanting a little bit of history, go and explore the artillery fort at Pendennis built in the 16th Century, great for walking and watching the various events that are held there.
We are spoilt with our fantastic beaches close by Maenporth, Swanpool, Gyllyngvase & Castle, all child friendly and very different, you will soon find your favourite! Enjoy the water sports on offer, the local Cornish pasty, and the cream teas. If you are an avid gardener then you must visit Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissick, spend a relaxing day wandering around, enjoy lunch at the cafés before going back to enjoy the hot tub and sauna. High speed Wi-Fi has been installed throughout the site.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 64 guests.
