Description

With both the north and south Cornish coasts accessible, you will be spoilt for choice of activities whilst at this tranquilly located cottage

This beautiful Grade II listed Cornish cottage, full of charm and character, is set in the pretty village of Bolingey, just a 10-minute walk from the coastal town of Perranporth and its 3-mile golden beach. Trefusia is perfect for couples or families looking to get away from it all; simply enjoy the lovely, tranquil walled gardens and sun terrace, or explore the stunning beach and spectacular delights of the north Cornish coastline. The village pub, just a short stroll away, is a locals’ and visitors’ favourite and serves local ales and home cooked food. The coastline along this stretch of North Cornwall is amongst the most dramatic you will find, from the wide surfing beaches to beautiful clifftop paths, which are part of the Cornish Coastal Path passing old Cornish engine houses and stunning coves and villages. The town of Perranporth, with its beach-based pub with live music and events, surf schools and hire shops, is one of the best around and has it all for a quintessential family holiday. The quaint coastal town of St Agnes is also close by with local shops and restaurants aplenty. Nearby Truro, the county capital, is a pretty Georgian market town with cinemas, theatres and excellent shopping. There are many places to visit, including the town of St Ives and Newquay on the north coast. The contrasting south coast is also easily reached and places to visit include the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and many beautiful Cornish gardens that are in bloom in the spring. Golf courses, horse riding, bike hire and water sports are all available nearby making Trefusia a truly great place to spend some family time. Beach 1 mile. We found the cottage an ideal place to relax, it was comfortable and charming. The only problem we found was the fridge was a little too small when catering for 4 adults, but having said that we have booked for next year and all of us are looking forward to going back. The garden had an abundance of wonderful plants but greatly needed care and attention. We found the people living in the area very friendly and have always loved Perranporth which was easily accessible and made a pleasant walk to get there.

Lovely little cottage that is close enough, yet far away enough from perrenporth. This is the second visit and loved it as much as the first time.

This cottage is ideally suited for walking into Perranporth and accessing the coastal path. The local pub is a bonus and we didn't need to use the car at all during our stay.

We had a lovely time. Great base for exploring a little further afield - Heligan, Eden, Holywell, Mevagissey, Padstow. Lovely cottage - even better when in for the evening with the log burner going full blast

Beautiful, cosy little cottage decorated just how we like it (it's even given us some ideas for our own house!), stocked with pretty much anything you could possibly want or need. The washing machine was a godsend, the beds were very comfortable and the Rangemaster was so nice to use. Would highly recommend it and hope to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful cottage, fantastic location, quiet neighbourhood. It was clean, small but spacious, well equipped and easy to use.

The place was immaculate and a short drive to the beach. Enclosed garden great for the dog and we had a couple of BBQs. Fridge freezer tiny - very cute but would rather a good sized fridge in conservatory. Great for 2 people. If you had 6 you would need more chairs in lounge. Feels like a loved and cared for place. Excellent location, lovely cottage, very clean and felt like home. Would love to visit again, lovely walk to the beach and great access to Newquay and Porthtowan. Only criticism; please replace the potato peeler as it was broken :) Thank you for a great holiday.
