Dog friendly Pembrokeshire holiday cottage sleeping four, close to Nolton Haven and Newgale.

Oil central heating (£25 per week October to April), electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included (October to April), remainder available locally. Highchair. Enclosed garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Parking for 2 cars. No smoking.

A spacious 19th century Pembrokeshire former farmhouse, newly and lovingly renovated to the highest residential standards with wide, sweeping views over open rolling countryside to the sea and inland to the tower of Roch Castle high on the skyline. Surrounded by National Trust farmland (part of the recently acquired Southwood Estate) and within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Trefrane Lodge is next door to, but completely separate from Trefrane House, with its own separate entrance, parking and gardens set in 9 acres of land. Queen Victoria’s favourite coal was once mined at Trefrane - there are no visible signs today but reputedly the miners could hear the sea crashing above them as they worked the seam which stretched far out under the waves.
Roch 1.8 miles away has a general store/Post Office/off licence/bakery. More extensive shopping can be done in the county town of Haverfordwest 8 miles away. Amenities include banks, post office, library with internet access, chemist, supermarkets, doctors, vet and filling stations. A Farmer’s Market is held beside the river on every other Friday - excellent local produce.
Nearby there is the golden sands of Newgale Sands and Nolton Haven beloved by surfers and kite surfers alike, filled with rock pools and sheltered coves it is fun for everyone. You can also go horse riding at Druidston Beach and gallop through the waves then stop off at the local pub for some good food and wine over looking the beach.
Trefrane Lodge (ref QC1120) can be booked together with Trefrane House (ref QC1119) to accommodate up to 12 guests.

One tap in the bathroom was loose, just required tightening up. The kitchen lacked a number of utensils but did have a really good food mixer, but no scales to weigh anything out or baking tins etc, there were just a few cups with chips around the rim of half of them. The whole kitchen really looks like it requires replacing, however the functionality of the items was fine, fridge freezer, cooker/oven and dishwasher all worked fine. We did not use the wood burner but we did use the central heating in the evening for a short time to warm the place a little and this worked well and effective. The bed was really very comfortable. The shower is great, a good size enclosure and very powerful. The location to the coastal path is really good. My greatest criticism, I Cannot believe such a tiny TV is provided, the cost of a reasonable size TV these days is not so much and the cost of this property should surely mean able to provide a reasonable viewing size. It's a very nice and quiet location, on a small quiet lane, just ten minutes along which to the coast. Attached to another rental property, you can hear the neighbours through a connecting door, this did not worry us, nor smelling their cooking which as it happened just made feel more hungry, but this may not always be the case. Our overall feeling of this place is that it's a great location, requires some TLC to the kitchen especially and the home entertainment and is quite costly for what it is, however maybe that is due more to the location rather than the actual property, but it is listed as luxury and this we cannot agree with.

If you like remote it is the place for you not somewhere I would return to. Felt the information was misleading as it said only 5 minutes from the costal path.
