Disappointing, the advertisement states 2 private parking places when in fact you have to park in the pub car park which the landlord of the pub obviously didn’t give permission for. There was an unpleasant smell in the cottage downstairs, had to buy some scented candles to cover it up. The kitchen was a bit grubby, the tap is loose, no washing up bowl and the sink leaks when you put the plug in making it difficult to wash up. The French doors are difficult to lock and kept coming open. On the plus side the sitting room is nice with 2 good size comfortable sofas and the bed was comfortable and when I phoned the owners about the kettle leaking water It was replaced straight away.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; I am very sorry to hear about the problems you encountered while staying at the cottage. I am not sure why it was advertised that there were two private parking spaces at the cottage. That has never been the case. It has always been parking just outside the cottage. I told the cottage rental company that this had never been the case and they rectified their mistake online. I'm not sure why it ever said that. I can only apologise. Thank you for your further comments. The French doors have been fixed and are working normally now. The cleaner has been informed about the grubby state of the kitchen and has made a concerted effort to rectify this. It is all clean now. I'm sorry about the lack of washing-up bowl. There has in fact always been one in the kitchen and is usually left in the sink. I can only assume a previous guest put it away. It has now been put back into the sink. Thank you again for all your comments. Everything has been taken on board.

Good place to stay and great for getting to the coast and places to visit. Was a bit chilly at times even though it was June. The WiFi didn’t work at all so I would suggest planning days out either before you travel or at other establishments that offer WiFi would be my recommendation.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you very much for your review. Unfortunately the Wifi did go down temporarily. I spoke to BT and was told it was an issue with their server exchange. It was a fault outside my cottage and completely out of my control. BT and Open Reach have now resolved this issue. I can only apologise for this inconvenience and I hope it didn't affect your holiday too much.
