This property is tucked away in a quiet corner of the quaint little village of Moorlinch, with easy access to many local attractions.

All on the ground floor.
Open plan living space: With wooden floor.
Living area: With wood burner, Freeview Smart TV and patio doors leading to courtyard.
Dining area.
Kitchen area: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Bedroom: With double bed and Freeview TV.
Shower room: With shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.

Gas central heating. Initial logs for wood burner included. Enclosed courtyard with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars.

Both properties: Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Enclosed garden with barbecue (shared with other property on-site). No smoking.

These two delightful properties are adjacent to one another and share an enclosed lawned garden, barbecue and a raised area with sun loungers. They are tucked away in a quiet corner of the quaint little village of Moorlinch, which has a popular pub, a 13th-century church and easy access to many local attractions and scenic walks. The cottages have been renovated to a very good standard. Townsend Pod (ref UKC1911), formerly the cow shed, is a detached, single-storey contemporary barn conversion boasting a wood burner, so you can cosy up on those winter evenings. The open plan living/dining/kitchen is very light and spacious, with full length windows, and the bedroom has fitted wardrobes. Townsend Pod also has a separate seating area at the front, next to the shared entrance path. The Stable (ref UKC3708) is set over two floors and offers a cosy and more traditional style retreat, with some lovely features such as an electric wood burner and open views from the large window in the first floor bedroom. The cottages are located around the corner from the popular local pub which serves food, and close to some excellent walking areas. The properties make an ideal base from which to explore nearby Glastonbury, with its abbey and tor, the site of the battle of Sedgemoor, the city of Wells, with its magnificent cathedral and Bishops Palace, and the World Heritage city of Bath, with its Georgian architecture, great shops and restaurants. Other attractions include Stonehenge, Cheddar Gorge and caves, Wookey Hole, Dunster Castle, Stourhead and Hestercombe Gardens, which are all within easy reach. For walking and cycling enthusiasts, the Mendip Hills, Ham Wall RSPB Reserve, Quantock Hills and Exmoor are just waiting to be discovered. Beach 14 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

    Stayed there for 3 weeks, Sharon is an amazing host. The property is beautifully designed, the decor is contemporary and top notch, everything was catered for. We had trouble with our car and the host accepted extension of our stay whilst our car was being repaired without ripping us off or overcharging us, which is something that happened to us at a previous booking. I would recommend this place anytime, its beautiful quiet hideway.

    We really enjoyed our stay at Townsend Pod. The property is large and airy and full of creature comforts to enhance your stay. It was really nice to have all the equipment to cook in the property if we wanted. Be aware the nearest shops are a few miles away although you can walk to the local pub across the farm yard, so you might want to pack your wellies. We used it as a base to explore Bath, Burnham, Bristol and other places not starting with B ;) we especially enjoyed Clark’s Village at Street for shopping at outlet prices, a very straight and easy route from the property. If you like farmyard smells and gently lowing cows, and appreciate lovely driving roads and beautiful towns to visit, this is your place.
