The cottage occupies a great location in this tourist friendly town. The beds were uncomfortable and the linen and towels had seen better days. The oak tree in the garden needs shaping to allow the sunlight to enter it is also infested with ants which made sitting out uncomfortable.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; The mattresses were new from John Lewis two years ago so I am surprised they were uncomfortable. I think they are medium standard as some people prefer hard, others soft. I will examine them and replace if necessary, it might be that the king size needs turning. I will get the oak tree trimmed and address the problem of the ants. I haven’t been to the cottage for awhile so it may be that new towels are required, I will go linen shopping this weekend. Thank you for bringing these matters to my attention

A nice terraced house opposite the pub, local shops, restaurants etc within 5 min walk. Lacking in character and charm inside the cottage, furniture which is too large, too modern and not as cosy as expected. The kitchen is well equipped again with furniture which is too large making it difficult to get to the oven, an enormous fridge freezer which is again too big for the room. The biggest thing missing is a shower, or even a hook for the shower handle over the bath . The bed was nice and comfy, and the house nice and warm even as it was very cold outside with lots of snow.
