The cottage was fantastic as was the location. There was a really well stocked shop but unfortunately one hotel was up for sale and the other was not serving food. As this was February I can understand that. Coffee shop closed too! The beach front cottage made up for this though. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Audrey!

Very comfortable and wonderfully peaceful. Brilliant for exercising our dogs on the beach. The pub over the road (The Ship) was closed and is now up for sale. I would be surprised if opened again as it’s difficult to see how a living could be made in this quiet part Of Scotland. If you are looking for excitement and entertainment, this place may not be for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for peace and quiet (much more difficult to find) then this property is wonderful. Comfortable warm and well appointed. We would love to come back again, and probably will.

An excellent cottage, comfortable and well equipped. The area disappointed, beach rocky and very few places to eat out. Lots of advertised pubs closed down.

A beautiful well equipped cottage in a lovely small village. Very clean and comfy - lovely garden to sit in and watch the comings and goings.

Absolutely beautiful location. Cottage is lovely and very homely. We had a wonderful time sat in the garden watching the sea and boats coming in and out. Lovely walks on the beaches with the dogs. Best holiday we have had in years.

Wow what a place it is truly beautiful the beach is a two minute walk away with a pub across the road and a shop just a short walk away. The cottage has everything you could possibly need it is spacious and is a great base for exploring. Our only small issue was the dust under the sofas on shelves etc as my dog has allergies to it but we will not hesitate to return.

Fabulous break between 7th and 24th July 2018. Stunning location - and the weather was incredible. Great places to see and explore such as Castle Kennedy, the breathtaking Mull of Galloway, Logan Botanical Gardens and Marbury Smokehouse to name a few - not forgetting the spectacular Forrest of Galloway (lovely cafe at Glentrool!). The locals were really friendly, too. We relaxed as soon as we arrived. Had a lovely welcome pack of wine and shortbread and the owners dropped a text to see how we were getting on after our first couple of nights. Would definitely go back. Loved it!
