Description

Set in the heart of Cromarty and enjoying sea views from the upstairs bedroom, this property makes a magical base to explore the area.

Located just a few steps from the sea, this lovely former fisherman’s cottage has been sympathetically and beautifully renovated to a high standard and is furnished and equipped to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible. Tides, one of a pair, is set in the heart of Cromarty’s conservation area, with its cobbled streets, quaint shops and restaurants and lovely Georgian architecture. The village makes the perfect base for exploring this unspoilt and scenic part of the Highlands. Mountain biking, fishing, sea trips and water sports, golf and hill walking are just a few of the many activities this area has to offer. Take a trip to Inverness, the Highland Capital, Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George, all within easy reach. Take a walk up the ‘Hundred Steps’ to South Sutor; The Sutors are rocks on either side of the Cromarty Firth once thought to be the abode of two giant shoemakers. This area is steeped in history and culture and once visited, it will remain a beautiful memory. Shop 50 yards and pub 40 yards.

Cromarty was a wonderful surprise. It’s quaint streets and scattered shops & cafes. Tides is a beautiful cottage right next to the sea. It was well equipped and was very comfortable. We had a lovely stay. These cottages are not private so you must be comfortable with very close neighbours. It is simply the nature of these small villages on the east coast.

We had a very relaxing time in Cromarty in this lovely comfortable cottage. The owner is very helpful and left a very good welcome pack. The restaurants in Cromarty serve very good food. We would certainly go back again.

The cushions are in desperate need of upholstering.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. The Leather chairs were not long purchased from John Lewis they are made of an antique leather and are of an excellent quality. We purchased this type of furniture to compliment the interior design we were trying to achieve in an old cottage. We do apologise if you did not find them to your liking.
