Spent a very happy few days here. The cottage is ideal for a couple, was clean and tidy and had everything you need for a break. Was welcomed by the owner who lives next door. Good off road parking space. A meal or two at the Crown Inn approx 50 yds away is a must. The food there is superb and the staff particularly friendly. Note the pub is closed on Mondays. Would definitely book again if we wanted to revisit the area.

We (two humans and a four-legger) spent a long weekend here, and it's perfect for that sort of break. The cottage is small and compact but has everything you need. The shared garden is huge and secure. The village has a pub only - no shop, nothing else, but that is part of its charm. The fact that the road through the village was actually closed temporarily was a bonus with a dog. Every pub we tried locally was really dog-friendly and served great food. There are brilliant walks from the cottage's front door, travel a little further and there's the whole Dorset coastline with even more lovely walks. There are beautiful unspoilt villages, stunning scenery and many interesting small towns like Bridport. The whole area is well worth exploring, especially out of season.

We read in the instructions that the heating is set to go off at around 9pm. However, we did not arrive until just after 9pm due to horrendous drive from London that involved a lot of traffic and diversions, and the host was very welcoming, patient and understanding. As we settled in, we noticed that the heating remained on until at least 10pm, which we very much appreciated for the extra touching thought!! The oven was newly installed (September 2017) and worked like a dream, cooking our food to perfection and in good time! (Good job as we were starving, only needed to wait to 10-15 minutes rather than the usual 25-35minutes. Yum!)
