Description

This mid-terrace cottage is wonderfully situated close to the beach, shops, art galleries and plenty more attractions and amenities.

This mid-terrace holiday cottage is conveniently located just a short stroll to the busy square of St Just, with its art galleries, craft and curiosity shops, cafés and choice of pubs. The area is popular with walkers, bird watchers and those looking to relax and explore the rugged coastline with its mining and World Heritage status. The backdrop for BBC’s ’Poldark’ was filmed in the area, with glorious sunsets and heather clad moorlands. Nearby Cape Cornwall offers visitors stunning scenery, a small beach and access to the coastal path. For golfers, the Cape Cornwall Golf Club must be one of the most spectacular courses in Cornwall. Take the coastal road from nearby Pendeen across the moors to St Ives, voted one of the most scenic drives in Europe. St Ives offers great art galleries including the Tate and Barbara Hepworth museum, as well as beautiful beaches and a wide choice of restaurants and cafés dotted along the water front. The cottage is a great base for exploring west Cornwall and nearby Sennen Cove, which is popular with surfers. Visit the legendary Lands End and the famous Minack Theatre which is cut in to the cliff face overlooking the picturesque cove at Porthcurno. Beach 1/4 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Ground floor: Living room with tiled floor. Second living room. Dining room/kitchen with tiled floor. Shower room with toilet. Steep, narrow stairs to first floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin.

What a lovely cottage. Great location for visiting Lands End, Minack Theatre, Porth Curno and Penzance. The bathroom and Kitchen are beautifully done. Property very clean and comfortable. My only criticism would be that there has been a roof leak and the bedroom ceiling still had staining on it. Otherwise lovely.

Generally everything was ok. We were surprised to get towels, as we were told to bring our own. We were disappointed with the welcome pack as it was just a bottle of Cava and a bar of soap.

Steep narrow stairs need to be taken into consideration if booking, especially as bathroom downstairs. Futon sofa very uncomfortable had to use spare pillows to pad it out. Very clean, good equipment levels. Excellent location for exploring southern Cornwall. St Just very pretty, aiming to win a town in bloom award. Excellent pubs , butcher and a selection of art crafts. Lovely local walks.
