Offering spacious yet cosy accommodation ideal for couples or a small family, this semi-detached holiday cottage is well situated, with much to explore nearby.

All on the ground floor.
Living room: With electric wood burner, 32" Freeview TV.
Kitchen/dining room: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and tiled floor.
Bedroom 1: With zip and link super kingsize bed (can be twin beds on request).
Bedroom 2: With zip and link kingsize bed (can be 2ft 6in twin beds on request).
Bathroom: With shower over P-shaped bath, toilet, heated towel rail and tiled floor.

Barbecue. Private parking for 2 cars.

All properties: Biomass central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Welcome pack and doggy extras. Sitting-out area with garden furniture. Enclosed, lawned grounds (shared with other properties on-site). Dogs only welcome. No smoking.

These four cottages are set in the Somerset levels and are great as a touring base.
The Milking Shed (UK30436) is a lovingly furnished, two bedroom cottage set all on the ground floor. It features a large living room with electric wood burner and patio doors that look over the owners garden. The master bedroom has a zip and link super king size bed, which can be twin beds on request. The second bedroom has a zip and link king size bed which can be two small twins on request. The large bathroom has a P-shape bath with shower over, while the bright and warm kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher and sunny dining area.
Orchard Cottage (UK30437) is perfect for a romantic escape from the real world with its slate floors and beams. Small but perfectly formed, the property is furnished to a good standard with a comfortable sofa, well-equipped kitchen and dining area. Upstairs is a beautiful, beamed bedroom with a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room (low ceiling height to one side of the bed).
The Tack Room (UK30438) is also ideal for a couple with one comfortable upstairs bedroom with a zip and link super kingsize bed, which can be twin beds on request and seating area as well as a lovely en-suite bathroom with bath and shower over. Downstairs you are greeted by a gorgeous open plan living space with beams and an inglenook fireplace with electric wood burner. The tasteful furnishings complement the style of the cottage yet it has all the modern features.
Long Barn (UK30435) is set all on one level. The large living space has comfortable sofas (one a double sofa bed), TV and DVD player, a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely dining area to enjoy meals and games after a day out. The large bedroom has a super kingsize zip and link bed providing flexibility for a family as these can be split into twin beds if needed. The en-suite bathroom a shower over the bath.
Outside, each cottage has a table and chairs, plus shared use of a large, enclosed paddock, perfect for letting dogs or kids let off some steam. Dogs are more than welcome in each cottage, with lots of facilities provided for them including bowls, treats and a dog wash area. The cottages are heated by environmentally friendly, wood biomass boilers, and with the electricity supplied by solar panels. The cottages also have use of a lovely communal conservatory.
Surrounded by National Trust properties, nature parks and walks in every direction, Thorney Country Cottages enjoy a truly wonderful location. Muchelney Abbey is an English Heritage site only a mile away, once a Benedictine House and dates back to the 7th century. Just 2 miles away is the market town of Langport with independent shops as well as larger chain stores and supermarkets. Further afield is the larger town of Yeovil with its wider range of entertainment facilities such as swimming pool, cinema, bowling and restaurants. Ham Hill is great for dog walks with its lovely pub, perfect for enjoying a crisp pint of Somerset’s finest cider. Beach 25 miles. Shop 2¾ miles, pub and restaurant 1¾ miles.

Had a very enjoyable 5 night stay, owners couldn’t be more helpful.The dogs loved the paddock too.

Just the job. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Local shop, Tesco about 3 miles away. The property was very comfortable and well equipped. It is in a quiet location but easy to get to. The cottage was close to some lovely NT gardens and mansions. We will be back.
