Delve into Thistles, a semi-detached cottage nestled on the edge of the beautiful hamlet of Cosheston and which is centrally located to explore the whole of Pembrokeshire. Thistles is a short stroll from the inlet of the tidal River Cleddau which forms the Milford Haven harbour and is host to many birds and an abundance of wildlife all on your doorstep. Here you can discover the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, take a trip to St David’s, the UK’s smallest city with its stunning cathedral, or explore one of the many picture postcard beaches this beautiful area has to offer.
Thistles lies next to the owner’s home and has been thoughtfully renovated to a good standard and offers the perfect retreat for couples to get away from it all and relax in front of the cosy wood burner. The spacious living room has been well furnished and offers a great space where you can relax and wind down after a busy day sightseeing. On those balmy summer days, enjoy sitting out with a glass of wine or take a stroll through the large, natural fields.
In the evening take a walk into Cosheston and enjoy an evening of ‘home cooked’ local produce in the local inn (along with some real ale), not forgetting a trip to the local farm shop for some treats. For days out, the historic Carew Castle and Tidal Mill is 5 minutes away covering 2000 years of history and overlooking the magnificent mill pond - a trip here is not to be missed. Travelling south, the famous cobbled streets of Tenby and its beach are only a 20-minute drive away; here you can relax in one of the many coffee shops, uncover galleries or laze on the golden sandy beach. Beach 5 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

We had a relaxing new year at Thistles making the most of the fields and garden for exercising the dogs. Log fires every evening and a well equipped kitchen for whatever you were cooking. This place has been designed and equipped to make this a cosy relaxing place . Would certainly recommend

We spent this Christmas at the Thistles and had a really wonderful stay. Dave and Lisa have thought of everything for this cottage. The kitchen has everything and I even made a Christmas dinner for myself and my partner. It was warm, comfortable and really well located for sights, shops and walks. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough.

Response on behalf of the owner; We are pleased you had everything you needed for a wonderful Christmas stay.

This was an amazing trip!!! Beautiful cottage and location! Very secluded, private with a large fields adjacent for the doggy. Nice little local walks!! Just a few mins away in the car to local stores and amenities, and some lovely beaches!! Go to Barafundle Bay, it's a MUST!!! Absolutely stunning!! The owners live next door, and are so welcoming and helpful! Lovely hospitality! Would highly recommend this place! Also, make sure you go to The Brewery Inn! Amazing place and stunning food!

Thistles is an outstandingly lovely cottage, and Dave and Lisa are exceedingly helpful hosts. However the WiFi was unreliable and kept dropping out. This was the only negative point.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are pleased you liked our cottage, but saddened to hear that you had trouble with the Wi-Fi. You made us aware on your first day that you were unable to log on, but we managed to resolve that issue by helping you to enter the correct password. We were not aware of any further issues. Thistles internet runs off our own router via an extender, and, as we had no problems with our own internet during the week that you stayed with us, we can only assume that there was an issue with the extender. Had we been made aware of this, we would have at least tried doing a reset on your extender, and re-pairing it to the router, which may well have resolved this issue, and failing that we could have gone and purchased another extender. Unfortunately we were not aware of the problems you were having so were unable to try to help.

Don't think I have scored any cottage we have stayed at (there have been many) a straight 10 across the board. Everything about Thistle Cottage was superb form the second we arrived to the minute we left nothing was too much trouble and the accommodation was first class. :)

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you so much for such a wonderful review, we do try our best to be as welcoming as we can for our guests.
