We enjoyed a lovely few days at Thimble Cottage. It is very well located and a good base for exploring the surrounding areas. The cottage was extremely cosy, with night storage heating and the option of a wood burner.Every time we returned to the cottage it was always just right. The bathroom is on the ground floor, which I didn't realise,it wasn't a problem just took some getting used to! (there is also a toilet upstairs) Very sloping ceiling in one of the bedrooms, which is well 'advertised' beforehand but I still found myself walking with my neck bent just incase! Again, not a problem and adds to the character of the cottage. Very good lighting out to the parking area at night. My only improvements would be feather pillows (just my personal preference) and maybe the inclusion of tinfoil and kitchen roll, always handy!

Beautiful little gem. It is so well equipped, beautifully decorated, with many original features. Plenty of storage space and room for an old cottage. We loved the big bath. The whole cottage was so comfortable and peaceful. Fantastic lovely well maintained garden set in a very quiet, beautiful village.

More suitable for three people than four. couple used the two single beds and the single person used the double bed because of the slope of the ceiling in the double bedroom.

Thimble cottage is a lovely home from home. It is very well equipped with everything you need and exceptionally clean and comfortable. The gardens are very well cared for and it was so nice to sit outside after a day exploring the surrounding areas. We are very fussy people and would certainly rate Thimble Cottage as excellent.

Lovely comfortable clean cottage . Only downside was it had a lack of a few utensils eg tongs frying pan for a good old fashioned English breakfast but on the whole had everything else. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are really sorry that our guests were unable to find the frying pans but there are two provided to cater for such needs and are located in the dresser. Extra utensils have been purchased so that our guests have adequate equipment.
