This is a great little place for a short break away form the hustle and bustle of daily life. The owners are lovely, but be prepared to test your French skills as Madame is keen to tell you everything you need to know at speed, but if you have some understanding you will be just fine. The cottage is typical French style and has everything you would need, but not necessarily in the places you would expect. Everything functions well. The toilet doesn't have a sink and the bathroom doesn't have a toilet, but this didn't bother us as a family as you just walk form place to place. There are only enough soft comfy seats for 4 adults to sit, but plenty of dining chairs around two good sized tables. We spent most of our time in the evenings playing games around the table in front of the log fire, which was lovely. The window shutters are fabulous and keep the bedrooms nice and dark. There have been some reviews to say the noise from the morning traffic was a problem, but this wasn't an issue in our opinion. You are next to a road, but it's a quiet village so not many vehicles come by. There are barley any amenities in the village itself, but you are a short drive away from other areas with everything you need. There is no wi-fi here, and barely any phone signal, so be prepared to cut yourself off from everything when you are indoors. The property is much bigger than we were expecting it to be. We would visit again.
