We stayed at the wee thistle for four nights recently and had a very relaxing comfortable stay. The accommodation is very well equipped and is a warm, quiet, cosy one bedroomed holiday home, situated above a quaint chocolate shop (in the centre of Jedburgh). The town has a lot of interesting historical background, and one lovely day was spent exploring this history, plus doing a local walk. Edinburgh is just over an hour away, which we accessed by car (and park and ride). It could also be reached by bus or local train. Again another relaxing day, meandering the city. We want to thank Fiona very much, for really caring that we had a lovely stay and for the basket of goodies, which were very much enjoyed and appreciated. We would highly recommend to any other couples exploring the border areas.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you so much for your lovely review Wendy. It’s always great to hear that our Wee Thistle is appreciated and that what is provided meets the needs of our guests. We do try very hard to make everything just so. I’m super happy you enjoyed the goodies too. I’m also pleased that you enjoyed Bonnie Jedburgh, it’s a wonderful wee town.

A beautiful place to stay, lots to see and do close by. Ideally placed for exploring the Scottish Borders, with Edinburgh just an hour away. The Wee Thistle is a real home from home. Immaculately presented, well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay and lots of welcome extras and treats that were unexpected but very welcome, especially the basket of food items and drinks. The owners have gone that extra mile to ensure everything is just so. We really enjoyed our stay.

An extremely well presented property. Compact but well thought through. A central location in a pleasant town with lots of history and easy access to beautiful countryside, properties and gardens to visit etc. One of the friendliest cottages we have ever visited (we go to quite a lot); the owners go to great lengths to make Wee Thistle " home from home".
