The castle, in its heyday, was the majestic home to one of the county’s most prominent Catholic’s, the Earls of Huntly. Local Castles within 15 miles include, Huntly, Fyvie and Dalgetie. Activities in the area include horse riding (if you are horse mad this is the place to be!), Whisky tours, Walking and cycling, leisure centres, golf and of course shopping in Aberdeen, 33 miles.
