A beautiful cottage with much character. Unfortunately my stay was marred by the snow storms, a broken boiler and no electric. I feel that it is not suitable for let in the height of winter unless the owners are able to provide back up alternative heating in exceptional circumstances. The welcome pack and my own organisation got me through a difficult stay. Shame.

Great stay at the thatch. Owners were fab on arrival and a beautiful cottage with some lovely modern features to boot. Would definitely recommend

A great place, with thoughtful and considerate hosts. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. Also comfortable but had a few issues, hence the 6 for Comfort and Equipment: - low ceilings, it's an old building so understandable but this was not mentioned in the cottage description. I'm only 6ft tall but did hit my head a few times, but probably should have slowed down. - bath screen ineffective even when super careful. Mopping exercise after every shower - very cold at night in the master bedroom (for us in January) but okay when the heating was turned up. This meant getting out of (a superb) bed to do this as the preset thermostat settings kicked in after we were in it. - Brilliant kitchen, but freezing (again, this was January). Did not appear to be any heating in this room. This being said we would go back when the weather is warmer!
