Lovely cottage with everything you need to hand. Tasty cake on arrival and milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Even the dog has special treats left for him. Highly recommend this cottage for a cosy break.

We had the most magical Christmas at the Tallet, was a beautiful cottage, we wish we could live there.

Superb place for a quiet escape - we went to get a book written, and got a lot done. No mobile coverage, good wifi, nice comfortable space, very friendly but unobtrusive landlord in Keith, and some great walks around the peninsula when we needed a break - the views along the Severn are fantastic. Two warnings - check what evenings the Red Lion is actually serving food if you're planning to eat there (although the beer was excellent!), and the village shop basically sells nothing but milk - so take absolutely everything you need with you, or be prepared to drive.

Ideal retreat in a peaceful location for rest and recuperation. If you want to stop the world and get off for a while, this is the place. Excellant pub within 20 minute walk. Nearest shop in next village. Very comfortable accomodation.

A warm welcome from the owner and cake waiting on the worktop by the kettle - a lovely way to start a long weekend. Everything that we could reasonably need was provided and the peaceful location really was a delight. There is plenty to see and do nearby including some lovely walks and fascinating local history.

Excellent property. Easy access to all main locations. No village shop though, but the next village down Frampton On Severn, lovely little shop. Good pub for food in the village. Fish restaurant, good, but a bit pricey. Lovely walks around the village. Good place to sit by the river is Saul Junction and it also has a good coffee/ food cafe. Property not recommended for disable people, main sitting area is upstairs . Perfect in other ways though.

The Tallet is set in a small hamlet surrounded by working farms. It feels beautifully cut-off yet Gloucester is within easy reach and some of the lovely Cotswolds villages also. There's a decent nearby pub and various others in the vicinity, but of varying quality. Walking is easy with 4 well marked trails around Arlingham and loads of opportunities further afield. The cottage itself is functional, clean and with all the requisite facilities. The downstairs, where the bedroom and shower are located, is a little dark and upstairs is lighter. We felt we really needed to get out to eat, rather than eat in, although if the weather had been warmer in the evening, we may have eaten outside. Overall, it is a good choice for complete unplugging and a simple break, immersed in nature.
