The Stone Cottage has loads of character and there was plenty of space for our family. I found it comfortable and well equipped for our holiday needs. It was great that we could bring our dog too and she had loads of room to run about outside. It's also in an amazing location, with views of the countryside but just a ten minute walk from the centre of Kenmare with its thriving pubs and restaurants.

Very dark and cold. Kitchen white goods very out dated. Although dog friendly it's not secure in the garden and owners don't want dogs on couched which ultimately means not dog friendly. Expensive for condition of the cottage. Woukd not be rushing back.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. Our cottage is an old stone house dating from the 1890’s which we have renovated and are very proud of. As it is a traditional cottage, it has very thick walls and we have managed to retain some of the original small cottage windows. In our view, this adds to the authenticity of the cottage, but it does make some of the rooms a little darker than a newer building. We acknowledge your feedback about the white goods and already have replaced the cooker and dishwasher, a new fridge is on order. We welcome dogs but have to put in place some restraints such as not allowing dogs on furniture, as new guests, who may not have family pets, often arrive immediately after guests who had pets with them.
