Great place in nice location. We and the Pooch settled well, great base to explore from and loads of great local attractions as well as coastal big locations all of an hour away lovely cottage and really nice place to stay. Couple of very small things... hot water at times stated available be nice... we had hot water twice via tap, (kettle boil ups for washing pots is a pain) shower of course was all time spot on. a tv with its own freeview built would be much better to use than using an old sky box that was noisy and ran 24/7 (save leccy?) these are mere small things but if i dont say no one knows. Overall tho spot on :)

We had a lovely relaxing stay the other two properties were empty so we had the big garden to ourselves ben our cocker spaniel loved it.We had a little trouble with the hot water but wendy the owner was lovely and soon sorted it.The lane from the village is very narrow but with so little traffic it made no difference. It is well situated to visit the north and south coast and the local scenery is beautiful. The beach at par and fistral beach at newquay are good for dog walking.Overall a lovely weeks holiday. thanks wendy and doug.

Absolutely wonderful! I would highly recommend The Stables. My mum had a wonderful stay. Clean, bright and cosy, the cottage was perfect for my mum, who can walk but has limited mobility. Although mum stayed on her own, it's just the right size for two people. Lots of space, and beautiful surroundings. The owners were helpful, friendly and welcoming but respected privacy at all times, although we knew they were on hand, should we need them. They were very kind in accommodating my mum's need for a firm, upright armchair - the sofas were enormously comfortable though. I would definitely recommend The Stables, equally, their larger accommodation also looked fabulous! Thank you for making my mum's stay so enjoyable!

Such an amazing place - ideal for the two of us and the dog. We wanted to be in the middle of Cornwall so that we could access both the North and the South of the County - the Stables are perfectly located to enable that. The building itself was lovely, clean, quiet and just the right amount of facilities. The only downside was that it had internet capability and a mobile phone signal so you can't quite 'get away from it all'! Although the local pub is about 15 minutes walk away, the kitchen was so nice we didn't venture out when it got dark.

Very pretty cottage which was well presented and well stocked. The owners were very friendly and were on hand to give good advice pre-arrival. The constant birdsong was a constant reminder that you had escaped to the country. Only negative is that the cottage's location up a single track, steep country lane would not be everyone's cup of tea.

It’s not the break my wife and I expected because we found ourselves snowed in. However, we could not have wished for better accommodation in a beautiful location. Simply it was an adventure, never to be forgotten. Looking forward to returning.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. It's great to be able to walk around the spacious grounds, including two pretty ponds. Plenty of interesting towns to visit in the area and some very good walking. Perfect hosts - unobtrusive but there when needed.
