This is a very cosy cottage for a couple on their own or with a small child or one other single adult. Although it has two double bedrooms I think that for four adults it may be rather crowded unless they were very closely related. The sitting area is cosy for a couple. However the L-shaped settee is not particularly comfortable for more than two. The dining table provided was small. Again, fine for a couple but more occupants may struggle to use it even at its fullest extent.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. I have tried to create a cosy atmosphere which is comfortable for my guests.

Very last minute booking (the day before) & didn't register there wasn't a washing machine(we never pack a full weeks worth of clothes plus have 2 kids). Cottage was compact but comfortable especially the beds. WiFi unfortunately didn't work at all whilst we were there. Very busy in the village (cottage is on the street leading to the pub & tea shop) but it was a gorgeous bank holiday so not so surprising-just a bit noisy with the motorbikes & not very private with walkers directly past the front window. That said it was a great location to make your way round the Peak District & a couple of great walks directly from the cottage too. Very helpful owner & also straightforward key pick up too.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: It was certainly a mega bank holiday weekend, I think everyone was taking advantage of the beautiful weather.

Too near the road, Bathroom downstairs, not good at night for 83/84 year olds. We did enjoy the cottage though. Until we had a fall at Lathkill dale and ended up in the minor injuries unit at Darley Dale, Must say they deserve their award for excellent care from CQC, also the Paramedics. We have been to Derbyshire many times before but not to Monyash but it is what it say's.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. Hope you're now on the mend Valerie. So sorry you fell in Lathkill Dale but pleased to hear that our emergency services were so helpful.
