A beautiful little cottage with it's own walled garden in a great location for both The Lakes and The Dales. Good facilities and very well equipped. Ideal for a quiet romantic getaway. Do watch your head on the beams. The village is lovely and there's a great pub (The Highland Drove) about 20 metres away, which provides a warm friendly atmosphere and a superb menu

We had a great week here. It is well located for Hadrian's Wall and the Lake District all within easy drives. The house is well equipped and very comfortable, everything is of great quality, the linen, towels and furniture are what you would want in your own home. There is a secluded and beautiful garden with a wood and with astounding views. The family who own the cottage are really nice and responsive to any questions you have. Almost next door is a great pub with wonderful food and a lot of friendly customers. Thoroughly recommend the cottage.
