Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

A super large property in the heart of the famous surfing town of Newquay with an abundance of activities on the doorstep for all ages.

Sitting in the centre of this bustling and vibrant town, The Square House, a former Pilchard store that sleeps 14 people provides central accommodation close to the heart of Newquay with its cafés, bars, coffee shops and great surf shops. The town is undergoing a renaissance of late with an increase in great restaurants and a growing coffee culture. The Square House, its name is very apt, has a small private courtyard, a conservatory and parking for up to four cars. The living room has comforatble leather sofas and a period fireplace and there is a well-equipped kitchen with everything you would expect at home. So whether you want to eat out at Fifteen every night or play Jamie Oliver at home, everything is catered for.
You can walk anywhere in the town from this stylish detached holiday home from home, which caters for groups and families. The local cinema is just yards away and the many beaches, harbour, zoo, a great sports and leisure complex including two swimming pools, a skate park, gym and surf schools are right on your doorstep. Fistral beach which is backed by the towns links golf course has a great beach bar, pizzeria and even Rick Stein has got in on the action with one of his fish and chip shops with views out to sea. Trenance gardens and boating lake with its great local restaurant and coffee shop make an alternative evening walk, and the local tennis club is also nearby. The town also boasts its own Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the tidal River Gannel, a haven for sea birds and a kayakers dream, or you can even enjoy the latest water sport of stand up paddle boarding.
The drive along the coast to Padstow is remarkable and probably one of the best coastal roads in the UK. This 20-mile stretch of road dips into hidden coves with amazing beaches and local pubs and climbs up to the top of dramatic cliffs with stunning views along the coast. Padstow, with its off road cycle trail that hugs the shore of the River Camel is a must, a top tip is to hire a bike in Wadebridge and cycle to Padstow towards the sea and enjoy fish and chips from Rick Steins on the quay. Going west is also a great treat and eventually St Ives beckons with its narrow lanes, Tate Museum, amazing beaches and one of the best beach cafés in Cornwall. A top local tip is to park in Lelant and catch the park and ride train that hugs the beaches and the coast and drops into this stunning town. Golf, cycling, surf schools and surf hire are all available locally. Beach 500 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
