Ideally situated for exploring the Suffolk coast, or spend a day at RSPB Minsmere, Walberswick, Dunwich Heath, Sutton Hoo (NT), Aldeburgh where you can purchase fresh fish, and famous Snape Maltings. The town of Woodbridge with its harbour and quaint shops, Ipswich, the city of Norwich with its castle and cathedral, and Bury St Edmunds all make a fantastic day out. Beach 6 miles. We enjoyed staying at the Snug - everything was beautifully provided for and we were also given the best week weather wise to top it up! The only mark down was to do with the sofa - it is a good, practical sofa but I found it a bit uncomfortable if I wanted to watch the TV in the evening. Other than that, everthing else was perfect.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at 'The Snug'. Such a super location and lovely and quiet. Inside was so clean and everything you should need. We love Suffolk and would definitely recommend this great little cottage to our family and friends. We can't wait to return!

A lovely little cottage. My only grumble would be the downstairs sofa which looks nice and Habitat but is not too easy to relax on. Also the dogs slipped about on the wooden floor but then they're all like that these days!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry you didnt find the sofa comfy. We have lots of lovely cushions and throws on it and have never had this feedback previously but will think about a solution. We decided to have a wooden floor as it is more hygienic and allows for thorough cleaning. We haven't experienced a dog slipping perviously but do have securely placed rugs around so I hope that helped. We do hope you enjoyed your wine and your stay in Suffolk.

The cottage was a peaceful, relaxing and spotlessly clean base for the week. However, we were a little disappointed to find that car parking wasn't "on site" as described but in an unmarked area approx. 50 yards up a track. Also, the pub and restaurant described as being 100 yards away had in fact been closed a couple of years ago and was now a B&B.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for leaving feedback. We really welcome it and we are pleased you found the Snug so clean and relaxing. We do explain about parking when we discuss the booking with pending new arrivals. It is an unadopted road and used to be the main road to Southwold. We are going to request to change the description with regards to parking and the pub. We do recommend lots of other lovely pubs and eateries in the area and I hope you found this helpful. We have also asked the booking agent to note that there is a farm shop with a cafe 700 yards away. Thank you so much for raising these points and fingers crossed for the forthcoming change.

Great cottage if travelling with a baby or toddler, no need to pack a highchair, cot or bedding. Brilliant location for visiting local attractions and the coast.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: Brilliant I am so pleased we were able to make your holiday easier by providing the highchair and cot. Thank you for taking the time to comment on this.
