The Barnacle is a beautiful house with the WOW factor. It was immaculate and comfortable with good quality furnishings and white goods. The seating area at the bottom of the garden enjoys the sun throughout the whole day. There were lovely roses, wine, biscuits and milk waiting for us on arrival.

Fantastic property in a great location. Truly home from home with everything you could wish for. The only very minor negative would be that it would have been Nic to have a patio table & chairs so you could eat outside and admire the gorgeous views.

Beautiful house/cottage. Garden safe and enclosed so did not have to worry about our dog wandering. Everything and more home comforts and equipment well provided for. Very quiet and relaxing. Close to all amenities. A perfect hideaway with everything for a perfect holiday. Definitely would recommend.

We had a lovely stay, very comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely recommend this property. Lots to do in surrounding areas and such a treat to see a seal in the water just at the end of the garden

We stayed in December so a lot of the local cafes and attractions were closed but the accommodation was beautiful. Everything were that that you could ask for and more, the house was even decorated for Christmas 😀

The Barnacle is the most amazing property. Don't be deceived by the initial outward appearance! On entering be ready for a surprise. The ground floor incorporates a magnificent kitchen, dining area and lounge, with underfloor heating. Your eyes are immediately drawn to the extensive views over the water, with yachts and other craft in perfusion. There is a beautiful Ash staircase to the first floor. The main bedroom offer an even better view of the river. A splendid, luxurious bathroom complete with built in TV and a second bedroom complete this floor. Up again to the second floor, and be ready for another surprise. A beautiful second lounge and if possible an even more splendid bathroom with an amazing lighting system. All three floors have balconies. Steve has shown great flair, imagination and creative skill in converting a relatively small terraced house into a magnificent, comfortable and luxurious property. But as impressive as it is, Steve has provided all the "homely touches" as well. Everything was provided for us. It was most certainly the best equipped holiday home we have stayed in. Car parking was easy, we parked right outside at all times.
