Enjoy lakeside views from this unique property, or why not spend the day relaxing on the beach in nearby Lowestoft.

This stunning riverside property is located on the edge of Lake Lothing, commanding views across the Broad on the southern end of the Norfolk Broads National Park. It has been lovingly renovated to a high standard with an emphasis on design and comfort. The Barnacle has a delightful terrace, garden, second floor balcony and even a TV in the first floor bathroom.
Located in the very popular village of Oulton Broad, you are within walking distance of riverside pubs, restaurants and shops. The Norfolk Broads National Park is particularly popular in the summer and boat hire is available along with river trips, speed boat racing and a beautiful park from which to stop and watch the world float by. Lowestoft has a lovely beach and there are also all year round dog friendly spots. A short drive south is Southwold, ever popular for its pier, the brightly coloured beach huts and fish and chips. Aldeburgh, RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich and the Suffolk Heritage Coastline are all within easy reach, making The Shipwreck and The Barnacle the perfect location for your Suffolk Getaway. The train station is within walking distance of the properties, so why not hop on the train and spend the day in the medieval city of Norwich, with its castle, cathedral, museums, fine shopping and restaurants. Such a wonderful place to stay, very homely, comfortable and beautiful decor, the view from each floor is just fabulous and you have everything you need in this house to make your stay just like home from home. Love the fact that you can take your dog too.

Beautiful cottage, the best we’ve stayed in and a fantastic host. We were welcomed with wine in the fridge, milk, biscuits, muffins and all the little essentials you would need whilst on holiday! Plenty for my boys to do, loved Oulton Broads, swimming, roller skating, cocktails at the Wolf Inn. Beccles with its outdoor Antique market in the town square and outdoor Lido. Gt Yarmouth just up the road with it’s Wednesday night fireworks display. If you don’t want to go out, relax at the cottage with WiFi, gaming or just chilling out in the garden with a glass of wine watching the boating activity. Or, have a soak in the bath watching coronation street on the TV! Left my hairdryer at the cottage, but Stephen returned it to me by RMail, nothing is too much trouble for him. I would highly recommend this beautiful high spec cottage. We will return with family as Stephen has another high quality cottage for rent two doors down called The Shipwreck. Thanks Stephen and thank your ladies for keeping things sparkling clean, especially the bed linen!

The Barnacle is a beautiful house with the WOW factor. It was immaculate and comfortable with good quality furnishings and white goods. The seating area at the bottom of the garden enjoys the sun throughout the whole day. There were lovely roses, wine, biscuits and milk waiting for us on arrival.

Fantastic property in a great location. Truly home from home with everything you could wish for. The only very minor negative would be that it would have been Nic to have a patio table & chairs so you could eat outside and admire the gorgeous views.

Beautiful house/cottage. Garden safe and enclosed so did not have to worry about our dog wandering. Everything and more home comforts and equipment well provided for. Very quiet and relaxing. Close to all amenities. A perfect hideaway with everything for a perfect holiday. Definitely would recommend.
