Feast your eyes on the ever-changing tabloid of the English Channel from your living room or bedroom window. The Queens Apartment was once part of the very fashionable Queen’s Hotel, a favourite haunt of the aristocrats during the late 1800s. It continues to offer stylish holiday accommodation with an attractive art deco theme. Ideally located in the heart of Hastings, there is access to many shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, plus a nearby cinema. The pier, White Rock Theatre and St Leonard’s are to the west, while in the other direction, it’s just a gentle stroll away from the picturesque historic old town with its famous beach-launched fishing fleet, iconic black net huts and The Jerwood Centre, home to a collection of 20th and 21st century art and exhibitions showcasing the best of modern and contemporary British art. Explore the bric-a-brac and vintage shops, and you just might find a treasure and spot the buildings that appeared in the TV drama, ‘Foyles War’. Eat arguably the freshest fish and chips you will ever taste and then take the East Hill lift, the steepest funicular railway in the UK up to Hastings Country Park for stunning views and, on a clear day, spot France. From George Street, you can take the West Hill lift, which retains its original Victorian coaches and spot Beachy Head from the top. There are year-round events including Jack-in-the-Green in May, food festivals in the autumn and check out the famous bonfire season. Historic Battle, Rye and the golden sands at Camber are a short drive away. Fishing available locally (at cost). The Queens Apartment is the perfect location for holidaymakers to enjoy a break in Sussex at any time of the year. Beach 30 yards. Shop 50 yards, pub 400 yards and restaurant 30 yards.

Excellent apartment, right in the centre of all Hastings has to offer, extremely well equipped with everything anyone could possibly need. Communication with the owners was great from start to finish and I would have no hesitation in recommending The Queens Apartment to anyone planning a visit to this area.

We had a lovely week long stay at the Queen's Apartments. The apartment was wonderfully spacious, had fabulous views of the sea and was very well equipped. Even though the weather was not the best we were able to enjoy the surrounding area. A very comprehensive book of the history of the building and activities close by was provided. Judy was more than gracious, delivering the key to a UK address as we were not able to pick it up. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment to friends and family.

Lovely apartment with sea and beach view. Very accessible and a short walk from to the old town. Shops nearby. Adjacent parking or not at all far from the station.

The group of three friends that were with me, all with very high expectations about cleanliness and the values of a well equipped holiday venue were truly impressed when we got into the 2nd floor flat to find spacious, well decorated rooms and a pleasant outlook onto the waves about 40 feet below. (perhaps 12 metres) A lot of generous thought had gone into putting together the kitchen and bathroom facilities with personal welcome packs of toiletries, quality towels and sheets, adjustable lighting with motion sensitive night lights that allowed us each to get around with ease and safety. The building is old but refurbished to a high standard and access was reasonable with a good lift and ramps wheel luggage where necessary. All of us enjoyed the wow factor around this place and would be happy to come here again.

A very last minute half term mini break for the three of us. We’ve never been to Hastings before so wasn’t sure what to expect. The accommodation was fantastic, right opposite the beach. Shame the beautiful building was covered by scaffolding. The road was noisy but the owners very kindly provided ear plugs meaning we did get good nights sleep. Lots of things to do in Hastings so had no need to move the car. All in all a great weekend, in a great apartment in a lovely seaside town.
