Excellent cottage as near to sea as could possibly be. Good, clean, sandy beach. There was a lack of coat hooks for outer coats which we needed due to wet weather. Bolts on downstairs en-suit and downstairs bathrooms did not work but otherwise excellent for large group. Easy access to Edinburgh by car or on very frequent buses (£1.70 per single ticket or £4 for a day ticket - beware they don't give change so you need right money). Can highly recommend Royal Yacht Britannia which, although quite expensive was well worth it, audio guide (separate child version) available which was included in the price - and free parking undercover. Can't recommend Stirling Castle - £4 to park to start with, then around £20 each to get in (not a great deal inside) and also £3 per person for audio guide. Also charge ridiculous prices for Tea/Coffee and extortionate prices for small cakes. Edinburgh Zoo quite good although they charge to park, then high entrance charge. However, don't go on a cold damp day, many animals were indoors and asleep!

Very nice, perfectly located cottage. Very good basis for sightseeing in Edinburgh. But it was a pitty, that the back door to the beach couldn't be used.
