Description

This sweet cottage is perfect for couples looking for a relaxing get-away location in the country with Ludlow and Worcester close by.

A wonderful character semi-detached stone cottage on the edge of the village of Whitbourne on the Worcestershire and Herefordshire border, set in the beautiful countryside of the Teme Valley. The Potting Shed has wonderful features throughout including exposed beams, stonework, wood burner and flagged stone floors. It is the perfect rural romantic retreat for couples looking to explore the area on foot and relax in the peaceful countryside. There is a sheltered courtyard terrace where you can sit and dine al fresco or just enjoy a drink after a day’s sightseeing. In the village you will find a pub and a well-stocked community shop. Beyond the village, visit the market town of Bromyard where its high street is full of individual shops, bars, cafés and restaurants. Bromyard Downs and Bringsty Common are right on the doorstep and provide beautiful country space - there are many picturesque old villages within a few miles, each with its own special character. We love this cottage. It is in a beautiful setting and is comfortable and well equipped. Cliff's Walks were excellent and we did do a few of these. We particularly enjoyed the reclining chair and the huge leather bean bag which were great for a snooze after a long walk. The local shop is good for basics and newspapers and there is a local bus to Worcester and Hereford. A lovely short break and we would definitely recommend it.

Nice location but no garden for the dog. The patio was not enough to let her out for a run and she will not wee on concrete. Parking space tight and seemed to be a neighbour not happy with there being a holiday let. The wood burner smoked. Other than these relatively minor things, a comfortable cottage in a friendly village with a good local shop and pub. Fish and chip van on Tuesday was good. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a very enjoyable weekend in this lovely cottage. It was very clean, very well equipped and in an excellent location for the places we wished to visit. I would have no hesitation in booking this cottage again or recommending it to anyone visiting the area. Very friendly owner too.

Nice homely cottage with fire. Pretty little courtyard to sit in. Generally done out to a high standard. Bed very firm but comfortable. Shower has good pressure.
