"Explore romantic Winchester with its Cathedral and water meadows before heading back to The Potting Shed... a cottage a short walk away." - Yahoo! Style (February, 2018)
The Potting Shed is your elegant base from which to meander into the centre of the cultural City of Winchester or simply stroll down the road to the famous Wykeham Arms "Town Pub of The Year" in the 2018 Good Pub Guide! Located in a wonderfully quiet part of the old city. The accommodation has been designed as a unique home away from home within the compact setting of an oak framed barn, which is peacefully set back from the road in the lovely courtyard garden of the owners adjacent house. The ground level fully equipped modern kitchen offers you flexibility for a relaxing stay. Climb the stairs to reach the bright bedroom and living space which radiates calm and gives you a comfortable retreat after you have made the most of this vibrant city’s attractions.
Wander the historic back streets of Winchester with numerous cafes, restaurants and shops to explore. A 5 minute walk to the high street takes you through the heart of the Medieval City and the grounds of Winchester Cathedral. Mentioned in literature as early as the 7th Century, it is a wonderful place to visit at any time of the year, with its Summer Hat Fair and Christmas Market with a festive ice rink.
If you want other friends and family to stay why not book Pemberly as only 20 yards away.
