Cottage was amazing, would have liked to have seen Freeview channels especially in the winter months when it is too cold to venture out of an evening. Sadly local shops had closed, if details of how to get to the nearest shops could be included in the information booklet it would be handy to have known.

Very comfortable. Great host, friendly, knowledgable about the area. Great kitchen for preparing meals, a basket of goodies on arrival was a nice touch. Short walk to the George Inn for great meals, which was right on the Tow Path for a stroll into Bath.

Very well equipped base. Welcoming host. Location ideal for short bus ride into bath, or a canal side walk. Barn owl and deer in field below property were a bonus. Welcome pack was very nice. As has been stated in previous review the local village shop has closed, if you do not want to drive into Bath there is a Spar as part of the petrol station on the Warminster Road. The convenience for Bath was the main attraction for us. Would happily stay here again.

Comfortable cottage everything you needed . Lovely views to the rear of the property . Used local bus service which was reliable about every 40 mins . Pity there wasn't a local shop to pick up a few provisions , although that is out of the hands of the owners who were lovely and very helpful . Nice welcome pack to.

We had a good week at Paddock Annexe, and there is nothing at all wrong with the accommodation. The downside is its location in Bathampton. There are no local amenities in the way of shops, there are 3 shops at the end of the road but one is a hairdressers and the other two were shut up, and obviously not currently in use. The other disadvantage is that Bathampton has a toll bridge. Although the toll is only 80p it is a real bottleneck and any drive to the north means that you have to wait in long queues to cross the bridge. So sadly I have to say that I would not stay there again for those reasons.

Beautiful cottage. Near to canal and river. Lovely pub on the canal. Our only criticism is that there is no shop to buy bread, milk or paper as it has closed down. We had placed a Tesco delivery order so that we had bread etc on the first day but if we had not done that we would have had to travel miles to get food. I am Coeliac so have to have gluten free food and that is not readily available in small shops. The accommodation was excellent. Lovely large fridge/freezer. Very good washing machine and tumble dryer. We would not fault the accommodation but were disappointed by the local amenities. (not the fault of the owners who were very welcoming).

The local shop was closed, not as described on web site. approach to cottage through a housing estate was off putting although views from cottage was excellent.

Spent two nights here as we wanted to visit Bath, but didn’t want to stay in the centre. The approach to the cottage is, to be honest, not the best, as you drive through a housing estate , but it is at the far end and the views are lovely. The cottage is attached to the owners house and the plot is shared with the owners family in a separate house, so a shared garden too, but they were very friendly, and there was no problem noise wise. The cottage was lovely, very clean and modern, with everything you’d need, and a very welcome ‘welcome pack’! ( There are no shops within easy walking distance) The bathroom is modern, a bit on the small side, but not a problem for a short stay, and the towels provided were good quality and fluffy!! We left the car there for both days as the walk to the local pubs ( ate at The Bathampton Mill) was easy, and we enjoyed the walk in to Bath along the canal too. All in all would recommend this cottage as a good base to explore Bath.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the annexe. Generally the cottage was comfortable and well equipped, we did however find the bed far to soft, not at all good for our backs! Access to the cottage is not always easy with so many cars parked on the roadside in the estate as you approach. The bus service was regular and reliable, a very good way to get into Bath. There was however no village shop, locals said it closed some time ago. There were some lovely walks along the canal, and the George by the canal bridge served good food and drinks.
