Abbott Hall is ideal for art lovers, set in beautiful grounds on the bank of the river Kent. Other historic sites include Kendal Castle dating back to the 12th century. Kendal is an old market town famous for its annual Mountain Festival, the ultimate social gathering for all those who love the outdoors. Kendal is also famous for its Mint Cake, the first energy bar produced over 100 years ago. You can reach Windermere and Ambleside in under 30 minutes by car.
