A wonderful gem of a cottage had everything we needed especially the peace and quiet. The dogs had a ball in the safe enclosed garden as well as swimming in the river.

We had a great week at the Old West Manse. The location is superb with waterfalls and hills accessible from your door. Our dog did attract a good few tics each walk due I am assuming to the closely roaming deer that we enjoyed watching. We only ventured out by car one day as it was drizzly. I've noted local amenities lower as there is a good 15 mile drive to get to the nearest shop but that's also part of the attraction. The kitchen is really well equipped and had all the basics washing up liquid, clothes, tea towels, dishwasher tablets provided and a lovely small welcome pack for us, the kids and dog! The Wifi was useful. Sofa could do with a revamp. Wood burning fire was much enjoyed. The river is lots of fun to explore and accessible from the back of the garden over a a high style, having a fully enclosed garden was great for the kids and dog.

An excellent but limited cottage. Exactly the sort of holiday we wanted but a few difficulties: water flow power in wcs terrible; suite very uncomfortable. On the plus side the warmth of the aga even though it was not sufficiently up to temperature to cook was excellent; dryingrooom great; facilities generally good.

Great house in a beautiful remote location, 13 miles up the Glen. Excellent kitchen-diner area and a cosy living room. Two main bedrooms with four-poster beds, although oddly these two rooms have a connecting door. Two additional twin rooms. Great space around the cottage. Very welcoming.
