Great accommodation and plenty of space for the size of let. The Old School House is a fabulous property with a history and offers every facility you might need whilst taking a self catering break. Also, the gardens would have been fantastic to use for a barbecue/drinks had the weather been better for us. Local shops allow for picking up the odd item you may be in desperate need for, but you still have the major supermarkets available to you within an easy drive. Unfortunately, because of the weather we did not see Shanklin/Isle of Wight at its best, but i'm sure that with a bit of sunshine its a fantastic place to holiday. Highly recommended and will more than likely use again.

A really great house for our family of five. We have twins that are 17 months and a toddler who is 4 years old. It’s such a grand place but we were made to feel at home by Sarah.

A thoroughly lovely place to stay, excellent for Shanklin old town with shops, restaurants and pubs and you can easily walk to the coastal paths from here, would definitely stay again

We would have found it useful to know that the buses go from the railway station passed the house every half hour at least! The house was convenient for public transport, which was valuable be we didn't have a car. The house was surprisingly spacious and grand but the kitchen equipment could do with a sort-out, a coffee perculator is needed, as well as a hairdryer.

In general a great place to stay 5 of us stayed and had a fantastic time. Its a great location and genuinely has the potential to be something quite special. There are however a couple of things that do need to be addressed. The oven needs cleaning so badly its a disgrace I can't understand why this has been let slip when the rest of the place is fairly clean and tidy. A shower curtain in the main bathroom its just such a mess if you happen to need the bathroom after someone has showered literally need wellies. And the damp and cold in the main/master bedroom and en suite its not pleasant however you dress it up. Other than that its great and would not hesitate at all to stay during the summer months.

At first sight this is an impressive holiday apartment. It's very spacious, full of character with a lovely garden. It's also in a good location and only a few minutes walk from old Shanklin. We had a great holiday despite poor weather and found the apartment very comfortable for a weeks holiday. However, the quality of the equipment within the apartment could have been better and generally the facilities were a little dated and in need of improvement.
