Lovely lounge with very high ceilings and huge fireplace- former school library. Great location opposite a green and yards from the thatched old town. Very big private garden (no gaps for dogs to escape) not shared with any other resident. Lovely walks along cliff off Priory road. Walk to beach, Chyne and shops just short walk from old town. Electric showers not brilliant but bath shower fine. Lots of room for everyone and friendly owner!

The cottage has a stunning lounge/dining room with lovely French doors leading to a very pretty and spacious garden. It is very comfortable with ample seating in the lounge and round the kitchen or dining room tables. There is plenty of room for all the family. It is only possible to use one of the two showers on at a time otherwise the electric trips but there is a shower over the bath that we used and had no problems at all. As it was February half term, not all the local shops and cafes were open but in season the location is perfect. All in all a lovely stay at a lovely cottage with great charm.

We had a lovely family holiday at The Old School House but unfortunately there were some issues with the property as follows: Extractor fan needed in kitchen (smoke alarm going off whenever we cooked) Shower curtain needed in main bathroom also needs an extractor. Mildew in ensuite (lots of wood lice) also shower not working properly (either boiling hot or freezing cold). High chair provided very dirty and unhygienic, needs replacing. Light fitting on table lamp by the patio broken although still connected which is hazardous. Sadly if it wasn’t for these issues we would definitely be coming back next year.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments which we always take seriously as we are a family business whose top priority is to ensure enjoyment of your holiday. First I apologise for the lack of extractor fan in the kitchen. I am aware of the ensuite bathroom and we shall be making this our top priority to rectify as much as possible. I also apologise for the highchair. I always tell holidaymakers, as I always personally meet them, that if there are any issues at all to contact me at any time which I also informed you so that we will endeavour to rectify it - I would have been more than happy to sort this and the issue with the lamp.
