Simply stunning property, great for our family get-together. Only two downsides to the property: - not one shower in any of the 5 bathrooms - limited internet use, which ran out by Sunday amongst the 10 of us.

What a wonderful house. It was everything and more. So many rooms and bedrooms we kept losing people. The weather was awful but the house was lovely and warm. It had everything you could possibly need including a cocktail shaker. We can't wait to return next year

Freezing cold house. Sitting Room and Snug Cold, Damp and unwelcoming. No Showers in any of the bathrooms. Not disabled friendly. Best room in the house is the Kitchen and that was the room we all used.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Guests have open access to the central heating so can adjust it to their needs. We also have three open fires/ wood burners and a large supply of logs. On this occasion I filled the basket myself - it is about 3ft high by 2ft wide - in my view a very generous supply of logs plus kindling and firelighters. There is also an oil fired Aga on all the time. The sitting room has no TV and is quite formal which may make it seem unwelcoming to some guests but it has an open fire and two radiators. It is also nicely furnished with antiques, books and good sofas. There are large TV’s in kitchen and snug. I dispute the house was damp as I visited prior to this visit. Nowhere in the house marketing does it say it has showers. It explicitly says that there is a bath in each of the bathrooms. We do not advertise the property for disabled guests and it is not marketed that way, but had we been aware of your difficulties, we may have been able to assist in some way to make your stay more comfortable. Everyone else who has visited this house has given it a rating at 8 or above - we trust future guests will look to our other feedback for a more balanced review of our property.
