The Old Quarry Hospital was ideally located to suit all the requirements of our large family group. However despite the use of a dehumidifier the two lower ground floor bedrooms always felt slightly damp; I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem at other times of the year when the central heating is running. Blaenau Ffestiniog is within a five minute walk where there's a well stocked and friendly Co-op also check out the excellent pop up Mexican restaurant that appears on Thurs, Fri and Sat evenings in a town centre cafe

The house is a great size for a large party. There is loads of crockery and cookware. The bbq is good for warmer days. Nice having a washbasin in each bedroom. The downstairs bedrooms smell a bit damp, probably due to the age of the house. The house wasn’t the cleanest as there was lots of cobwebs and the bathrooms weren’t that clean. The house is dog friendly but the garden isn’t that secure for them. We got a complaint for our dogs barking when they were outside but unfortunately this is what dogs do. We did try to keep them quiet but not always easy when they hear noises while outside. This could be an absolutely beautiful house with a revamp and some money spending on it and maybe hire cleaners for change over day. None of this stopped us from having a great time and we would recommend.
