Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments. We are naturally disappointed that you did not enjoy your holiday with us. The weather was not good which may have been a factor.
Of your specific points, the dividing garden fence is high by the house to give privacy, but lower, on purpose, further down the garden so guests can enjoy better views and a more open aspect and more light. The garden is big enough for dogs to exercise and enjoy. For longer walks, the area is renowned for the many excellent local walks especially around Kington and the Black Mountains/Brecon Beacons, many within 20 minutes of our cottage. The information pack contained some walks. We would have been happy to provide any additional information.
The road does get busy at times and as it is a very agricultural area, our village is surrounded by farms, and there is movement of the harvests (swedes, potatoes, grass) and animals, especially sheep. This can add to the interest of the area. Also, many guests are out exploring the area during the day, so miss the busy road times.
The parking area is relatively compact but I have been surprised by the size of some of the guest's vehicles that have parked there and there seems to have been no problems up to the present.
Your low score on location is a bit of a puzzle. There are an enormous number of places to visit and things to do within half an hour’s drive, including national trust houses, music concerts, restaurants, pubs, walks, rivers, festivals, churches, cheese making factory tours, cider makers and many more. And there is the world famous Hay literary festival and the 3 choirs’ music festival
I hope you enjoy your next holiday.
