This is our third time at Little Beck, an idyllic hamlet close to Whitby. Riverside Cottage is all you could ask for if you want a totally peaceful and relaxing stay for up to four people. It is set in a steep valley with a stream running through the grounds. We saw a variety of wildlife including a young deer running up the road in front of our car! The Hermitage (a folly hewn from the stone to make a dwelling) and Falling Foss (A waterfall) are about a mile away up the path near the cottage and worth a visit. Whitby is about five miles away with all it has to offer. The cottage is superbly well equipped, is warm and clean and has good wi fi! Although the steep one track roads to get to Little Beck did not worry me they may not appeal to the nervous driver! I would highly recommend this cottage and we will certainly be re booking it next year.

Excellent peaceful week at Riverside Cottage. The cottage has all the comforts of home and is very well appointed. The owners are on hand but unobtrusive. The gardens are very extensive and has it's own beck running through the grounds with boats for guests use. Although Littlebeck village has no amenities of it's own and is in a secluded steep valley, pubs, shops, restaurants and attractions are within a half hours drive and do not pose a problem. if you want to get away from it all, this is for you.
