Spacious house and ideal for exploring. Very comfortable in terms of space, nice bathrooms and generally a really lovely home. Garden is large and ideal for dogs or children. Only minus point is the china! The mugs and plates look well used and glazing is heavily cracked. In fact my friend bought new mugs and paper plates on our first day. I would take your own with you. The kettle is heavily scaled and needs that sorting out. Having said that, it’s a lovely home and I would recommend it.

The old joiners shop is an extremely lovely cottage however it is severely let down by its cleanliness. On arrival we found the cottage covered in dust and cobwebs, toilets and bathrooms poorly cleaned and kitchen worktops covered in crumbs and grime and the downstairs floors still covered with dog hair. The item under the bed mentioned in the previous review was a dirty hanky!! On complaining a cleaner was sent out immediately to try and rectify the issues. However this should never have needed to happen. Personally I feel that when you are spending just shy of £1500 for a cottage it should be immaculate on arrival. The cottage is perfectly situated in a quiet village 10 mins from the sea. The garden space is undersold and the kids made great use of it during the stay. I would echo the sentiment by the previous reviewer that whilst it was nice to have a small welcome pack it was lacking somewhat especially compared to cottages we have booked previously. This is a lovely property but it could be wonderful if it was cleaned properly.

Lovely place ideally located to visit various places. Has everything you need for a holiday. Must be prepared to drive for all amenities. Only down side for us was bedrooms are built into the loft space and we visited during the heatwave. The bedrooms were very hot therefore but would be great any other time of year. Also I’m really picky with cleanliness and found someone else’s top in the master bedroom drawer, something under the bed of the single room (did not check what it was) and dust round edge of main living area. I did wipe round myself. Also the grill pan was full of grease from previous occupants which we therefore needed to clean before we could use it. Don’t get me wrong it is a lovely place and I am picky but shouldn’t find left clothing or dirty grill pans. Would stay again but maybe not at the height of summer as I struggle with too much heat. Welcome pack of wine, biscuits, tea bags and coffee was lovely but guests need to arrive with own milk if you want a cuppa as soon as you get there.
