Enjoying peaceful countryside views near the Norfolk/Suffolk borders, this detached, thatched cottage dates back over 300 years. The cottage has been in the owner’s family for many generations and has been lovingly renovated to provide all modern conveniences whilst retaining exposed beams, timber floors and fireplaces.
A warm welcome is assured all year round with open fires in the living room and farmhouse kitchen. A perfectly secluded holiday retreat on a working arable farm, with a large, enclosed garden. An ideal touring base, the beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coast and Norfolk Broads are within an easy drive.
The nearby historic market towns of Eye and Diss have an interesting range of shops and restaurants, Diss also has a swimming pool and direct rail links to London. Bury St Edmunds and the vibrant city of Norwich can be reached in less than an hour. Shop 3 miles, pub 1 mile.

Ground Floor:
Living room: With open fire, Freeview TV, iPod dock, DAB radio, CD player and wooden floor.
Kitchen/dining room: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Bedroom 1: With single bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet.
First Floor:
Bedroom 2: With double bed.
Bedroom 3: With twin beds.
Bedroom 4: With twin beds.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, and toilet.

Oil central heating and electricity (£40 per week in winter), bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and fuel for open fire included. Cot and highchair. Doggy extras. Telephone - incoming calls only. Garden with sitting-out area, garden furniture and barbecue. Badminton and croquet available. Private parking. Please note: There are unfenced ponds nearby.

    Not too posh for dogs and kids, but comfortable and homely. Lovely old cottage. Interesting sleeping on floors that have an incline and decline all in the same room. Off lead walking around the arable fields to the rear.

    Lovely cottage ,however situated far from amenities ....thus very quiet . Great for a very peaceful week. Good for dogs & small children. Well equipped. .

    Our second time here.. it’s amazing. A true home from home...I gave local amenities a 10 ... although there are no amenities.. this is just how we like it so for us it’s a 10...
