Description

Visit the famous Thursford Collection which is close to this property, or spend the day at one of the many seaside resorts.

Nestled between the picturesque villages of Thursford and Melton Constable, this detached property is perfectly situated for those wishing to explore the North Norfolk Coast. A much loved family home, it has everything you need for a great holiday. Close by lie the bustling, seaside market towns of Sheringham and Cromer. Closer still, you will find the much loved Thursford Collection, the world’s largest collection of steam engines and musical organs, and home to The Thursford Christmas Spectacular and Santa’s Magical Journey.
History buffs should also make time to visit the Muckleburgh Military Collection, The Cromer Lifeboat Museum and the many National Trust properties and stately homes that can be found in the area, such as the splendid Blickling Estate. Here, you are also close enough to enjoy a day on the much photographed Norfolk Broads, where you can hire a day boat or join a tour to drift along these idyllic waterways. disappointing - too noisy - failing water supply - leaking washing machine - musty and stale smell - scrubby scruffy garden - no TV / DVD / radio

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; It was unfortunate that the pump supplying water from the bore hole ‘tripped’ twice during this guest’s stay and had to be re-set. The re-set is not an arduous task (it is pressing a button), in fact our housekeeper attended within a short space of time on the first occasion and the water supply was immediately restored. We have owned this property since 2015 and have only ever encountered this issue on two previous occasions during this time, which hardly constitutes it being referred to as ‘failing’. Nevertheless, we will be bringing our annual servicing and maintenance of the natural water supply and filtration system forward to minimise any reoccurrence of this issue. The cottage is in an area with limited television reception; we will overcome this when we install Wi-Fi and the television signal can be channelled through the internet. In the interim there is an extensive library of DVD’s for our guests to watch during their stay. We have had several repeat bookings and had a relatively busy summer through agency and owner reservations which total fourteen guests. All of which have been extremely positive and without issue.
