The Old Gatehouse is a beautiful property in a very peaceful, picturesque area of Wales. I will miss the views. We visited at the end of July for a week with my two sons and their families to celebrate my eldest son's 40th birthday. We loved the gift of wine and chocolates on our arrival; thank you. The house is very comfortable and well equipped and it was a bonus having a bbq outside and table and chairs as we were lucky with the weather. We spent a lot of time on the beach at Aberdovey which is a huge sandy beach with lovely sand dunes but there is plenty to see and do in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to return in the future.

The cottage is in a great location, lovely and well equipped with the exception that unfortunately we couldn't locate a vaccum cleaner, sweeping brush or dustpan and brush to remove the shedding hairs from our golden retriever. Other than that it was perfect.

We had the cottage for the week after Christmas and the oven had not been cleaned. Some of the roasting tins are also in a poor state. Apart from this the house is clean and well equipped. The location is beautiful but there are few amenities close by i.e no shop in the village
