The grounds are Site of Special Scientific Interest protected and it is an English Heritage Site. Beams and oak floors further enhance this holiday home. Visit Gilbert White Museum and Jane Austen’s house. Within easy reach are Winchester, Portsmouth, Chichester, New Forest, Goodwood, Isle of Wight, Wisley, South Downs, beaches, steam collection and Marwell Zoo. Shop and pubs 1¼ miles.

    Lovely cottage with everything you would need for a lovely holiday. The rooms are a good size and the outside seating area is lovely. Is very much out in the countryside but most things are within driving distance.

    Perfect place to retreat away to for the weekend. Right down the end of a country lane, so no through traffic which made for a very peaceful place to relax. Our group of 8 adults had a superb time! We didn’t manage to connect in person with the owner and were left to our own devices. With the April sunshine, we made use of the outdoor furniture and enjoyed lunch outside!

    We had a fabulous 2 days and one night, we had to arrive a day late due to the snow but we were allowed to move our booking from Friday to sunday to Saturday to Monday. And they even offered to collect us from the town because the lane was still quite snowy. The cottage was perfect for a group of 7 girls on a relaxed hen do. We absolutely loved the location and property. We will be returning.

    The cottage was lovely. Our only problems were that it was very muddy (only to be expected on a working farm in December!), and that we could have done with a pair of scissors.

    Lovely cottage for a group of us. Absolutely beautiful setting and peaceful apart from the cows :) Would benefit from a good coffee table for board games.

    The cottage was lovely to increase my mark to the full 10/10 I think it needed a few little changes but overall it was a great Base for a lovely holiday. Everything we wanted to do was within an hour. The owner was lovely and came to check we were happy and was quick to look at a problem with the washer/dryer. Few improvements.... 1. Remove or reduce bushes in garden as that would give families more room to play it is such a large house but children had little room in garden for fun at home and bbqs etc. 2. Add a washing line so families could dry washing more eco friendly 3. Find a way to reduce the noise between the two cottages as the music coming from the other holiday home was very loud into the bedrooms it was like we were in the room with the music...the bedroom walls need sound proofing as it did disturb sleep. 4. There is absolutely no mobile phone signal so in emergency no way to call out it would be worth offering a pay phone facility on site if possible. Overall though fantastic house, great for walking, days out with family and had almost everything you could think you would need with two families of 4 and plenty of space. Great value for money. Would happily stay again thank you for letting us use your lovely house!
